The success of last year's inaugural Mid-Ark Quartet Convention
was incredible! A packed church auditorium both nights
with standing room only! And we experienced a great
visitation from the Lord. We look forward to this year's
2nd Annual convention with host group, Heaven's Echoes.
Other regional artists singing at this special event include The
Crusaders, The Apostles, Velvet Ridge Singers, Cross Point, The
Voyagers, and many others. Watch for details and a full

Former Apostles Lead Singer
Ron Bowlus

The first original lead singer with London Parris & the Apostles
in 1972 was Ron Bowlus of Tampa, Florida. Ron remained
with the group through 1974, moving to the baritone part when
Rick Smith joined the group as its second lead singer. Now
in his 70s, Ron and his wife, Polly, still live in Tampa and Ron
still travels full-time as a music evangelist providing worship
leadership in revival meetings, crusades and sharing his special
musical gifts & testimony in many nursing homes and retirement
communities.

Apostles lead singer, Rick Smith, teaches an adult Sunday School
class at the First Baptist Church of Russellville, Arkansas.
As part of his teaching ministry to this class, Rick writes an
e-publication called "Templates of Truth." Recently, Rick
expanded "Templates" to include a weekly audio version.
"Templates of Truth" usually follows a theme related to the
Southern Baptist Explore the Bible Sunday School
curriculum series for adults. If you would like to listen
